ACO ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The 2015 AGM was held Sunday, April 12th at CMCC. This year’s guest speaker was Dr. David Bray, CMD, D.AC., Dipl. H.C., (NCCAOM), who spoke on the topic of Tung’s Acupuncture for Musculoskeletal Conditions.

NEW YEAR DINNER

Another year and another successful CHINESE NEW YEAR DINNER AND KARAOKE – back by popular demand for the Year of the Ram!

This year’s celebration was held Friday, February 27, 2015 at the Very Fair Seafood Cuisine Restaurant in Scarborough, Ontario.

Approximately 200 friends of the ACO, ACO members, their families, and CMCC students ate a delicious 10 course meal and drank champagne while watching two Chinese lions fighting over Lucky cabbage during the Lion Dance, which helps to bring in the New Year. We were also treated to the beautiful playing of Chinese harps called guzhengs by Dr. Viola Cheung and Miss Pamela Leung over dinner.

Our wonderful sponsors made the dinner & karaoke very successful and exciting with their gifts from Kosim Medical Innovations Equipment & Supplies, Electro-Therapeutic Devices Inc., Eastern Currents Distributing, Carbo Medical Supplies, Pure Care, Inc., Vitality Depot, CMCC, and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic Clinic, CMCC Supply & Bookstore.  Each guest received an LED flashlight from the ACO to help light up the New Year. We thank our very supportive and loyal sponsors for their continued generosity.

We would also like to thank our friends from the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada, Acupuncture Canada, University of Toronto Centre for Integrative Medicine, World Federation of Chiropractic, College of Chiropractors of Ontario, Ontario Chiropractic Association, and CMCC for making this event a great gathering between mutually respected individuals and health care professions.

Many, many thanks, of course, to the hard working people who help make this event such a highly anticipated one each year!

BACKS IN MOTION

The ACO sponsored CMCC’s Backs in Motion Run this year as we do every year. Dr. Paul Ho enjoyed representing the ACO by participating in the run itself and helping with the awards ceremony afterwards.
